Envion was founded out of a need to address both the <strong>dramatic increase in energy consumption</strong> as cryptocurrency mining becomes increasingly mainstream as well as the general <strong>high dependency on energy supply</strong> in this industry. In addition, envion wanted to address the fact that with the <strong>concentration of mining</strong> activities in countries with <strong>low social and environmental standards</strong>, electricity being used for mining activities is in the form of fossil&nbsp;fuels.
